Our story

Ordinary people, an extraordinary God.

We're a family church in the heart of Sandton, part of the worldwide Assemblies of God fellowship, with our doors open at 17 Humber Street, Woodmead.

Where we come from

Part of a worldwide family.

AOG Sandton City Church belongs to the Assemblies of God, a Pentecostal fellowship of churches that spans the globe and has deep roots across South Africa. We share its passion for the Bible, for prayer, and for the life and power of the Holy Spirit.

That heritage gives us a firm foundation, and a family far bigger than our own building.

Our home

A seat saved in Woodmead.

Every Sunday our doors open at 17 Humber Street. Grandmothers and students, families and young professionals, people who've followed Jesus for decades and people walking into church for the very first time: this is what God's family looks like in Sandton.

We worship in many languages and styles, from traditional attire to jeans and sneakers. Nobody walks in alone and nobody walks out unseen.

The next generation

Youth on fire.

SCC Youth is a big part of our story. Through worship nights, camps, Bible study and plain old hanging out, young people are finding faith, friendship and purpose, and leading the way in worship.

Where we're going

Rooted here, reaching out.

Our prayer is to be a church that Sandton is glad to have: a place of real welcome, honest teaching and practical love, sending people out to serve their families, workplaces and city.
